User files, configuration files and programs that use the EnFuzion network API from EnFuzion 7.2 will work without modifications with EnFuzion 8.0. EnFuzion roots and nodes must be upgraded at the same time, since 7.2 and 8.0 will not inter-operate in the same configuration. The protocol between the EnFuzion root and nodes has been improved to increase system robustness. As a result, mixed environments with EnFuzion 7.2 and 8.0 can appear to work, but might exhibit erratic behavior.
