Axceleon to Present at GE PSLF Users Conference
EnFuzion Accelerates & Optimizes Workflows for PSLF for Electrical Grid Analysis
LOS ANGELES, California, (April 28th 2011) – Axceleon, a leader in high performance cloud computing solutions for computational grids and cloud environments announced today that it will be presenting at the GE Concorda PSLF Users Conference to be held on April 28th & 29th in Orlando Florida. GEs Positive Sequence Load Flow Software (PSLF) is a suite of analytical tools that can simulate large-scale power systems up to 60,000 buses. For ease of use, the data are organized in sensible terms, such as nameplate values, rather than per-unit modeling parameters. Since PSLF has its own fully configured programming language, users can build new models that interact with models within the program, perform post-processing and construct macros that automate execution of repetitive simulations and generate reports.
The topic of the Axceleon presentation is "Accelerating and Optimizing PSLF analysis and workflows utilizing EnFuzion and CloudFuzion managed compute clusters". These clusters can be either in-house or in cloud environments such as Amazon EC2 or Microsoft Azure.
Using EnFuzion / PSLF integrated workflow processes can reduce study plans/scheme workloads from months to hours. EnFuzion manages the processing phase to allow the power engineer to focus back to the primary work function doing performance reviews-assessments and defining options for critical issues faced by the utility. No bulk data-entry phase is required nor is any machine management required. The merging of the integrated workflow process with the engineer function resulted in a 20 to 1 cost benefit/savings for a utility in the Pacific Northwest.
Axceleon is the provider of CloudFuzion and EnFuzion. The CloudFuzion platform is available as a service (PaaS) and used on larger public clouds, grids and high performance computing environments and runs natively on all major OS platforms Windows®, Linux®, Mac OS®.
EnFuzion cluster computing software is deployed in power/energy utilities, 3D applications, financial, bioinformatics, scientific research, telecommunications and engineering, where it helps users to get more results faster. EnFuzion was one of the first sizeable deployments of grid computing technology on Wall Street in 2000. To learn about CloudFuzion, EnFuzion please visit http://www.axceleon.com.
